X FACTOR UK RESULTS SHOW – 14 OCTOBER – REBECCA FERGUSON/TAYLOR SWIFT
I am having to catch up with tonight’s result show on-line as unfortunately I missed the live show.
I have managed to not read who has left though so I will be blogging it as ‘live’ from Sunday night.
Of course last week saw ‘Rylan-gate’ where Gary Barlow stormed off the set due to losing Carolynne Poole – hate to break it to you Gary but I think all of your acts are on the line tonight. If Kye Sones leaves tonight then it is game over for Gary.
Guest performers tonight come in the form of Taylor Swift and Rebecca Ferguson both of whom I am looking forward to seeing.
Nicole and Tulisa are both rocking long dresses tonight – for once I like both of them! Nicole’s would be my favourite though – the swoosh factor is excellent.
Thank god they have switched to singing their group songs live as well, it really was about time! This week the finalists sing Gotye’s ‘Somebody That I Used to Know’ it was interesting to see who was picked out for the ‘star’ moments on the song – Jade and Ella for me made the biggest impression. There is still something about Christopher Maloney I don’t like as well – he looks smug when he’s singing!
Rebecca Ferguson takes to the stage, she truly is one of the successful X Factor acts, she stuck to her believes and passion and also cannily got a publishing deal which will keep her in designer gear for as long as she wants. I am little shocked by her appearance! I don’t like the hair colour for her skin tone and the outfit isn’t very flattering either. Her delivery of ‘Backtrack’ is brilliant though and it was good to see her moving around the stage more, she has definitely improved since the X Factor two years ago.
Taylor Swift is next up, performing her new single ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together’ phew! Her cross-over to the UK I would say is going extremely well, I thought Carolynne should have sang ‘Love Story’ for her first week. Taylor is looking very sweet in her bowler hat, the song as per usual is surrounding her ever changing love life. It’s not my favourite Swifty song and she has a few shaky notes in the performance but she is a force on the pop scene.
