Watch: Adam Lambert on BBC Breakfast – talks Queen and solo career
ADAM LAMBERT ON BBC BREAKFAST IN MANCHESTER
Adam Lambert was on BBC Breakfast this morning at the prime time of just before 9am, Adam spoke about his upcoming gigs with Queen saying that ‘he is not going to be Freddie Mercury’ and that he wants to ‘pay respect’ to the lead singer of Queen.
He spoke about their performances at the EMAs and American Idol before they showed a pretty long clip of his new UK single ‘Never Close Our Eyes’ – he then went onto explain that that was ‘Adam Lambert’ rather than Queen!
The interviewers were a bit daft in the interview, I think they got a little confused as to his Queen role and his solo career, Adam came across really well though in a rather natty green leopard print top explaining that he wanted to stay true to Queen’s music but also make it his own too and explaining that his solo career was more dance/pop based with a rock and roll spirit.
Adam also got to talk about his Polish gig with Elton John and Queen which will close the Euro 2012 championships and also his ‘journey’ from musical theatre to pop star.
There were some more daft moments including the interviewer talking about his hair and also his English accent, lol! Someone needs to tell him how to pronounce Wimbledon!
