Stars rehearsing for Closing Ceremony – Jessie J, Queen, Spice Girls, George Michael but no TT.
Sadly the London 2012 Olympics come to a close this Sunday ahead of the Paralympics.
Fortunately the games go out with a big bang curtesy of Kim Gavin, the director between Take That’s massive last two tours.
Take That haven’t been seen at a rehearsal for the ceremony, the popular British group were rumoured to be closing the show as a four-piece with their anthem ‘Rule the World’. However last Saturday Gary Barlow (the lead singer for this song) lost his daughter Poppy, who was stillborn in hospital at 40 weeks old. I don’t think anyone can begrudge Gary for not singing that song as this sad time. Some ‘red tops’ are still reporting that the group aren’t scheduled for a rehearsal ‘on site’ until Sunday morning.
But while Take That might be considered as the biggest UK male band their counterparts, the Spice Girls, have been seen rocking their slot in the ceremony. With all five ladies on board this will be their first live performance together since 2008. As you can see from the photos below they arrive on top of London black cabs which are decorated with studs and then can be seen pointing and strutting like the 90′s!
Also in the photos are Annie Lennox, George Michael, Madness, Muse, Jessie J, Taio Cruz, Tinie Tempah, Queen and Emeli Sande.
