START SAVING NOW 1D FANS!
Canadian fans of One Direction should take note – a pop up store selling band merchandise is arriving in Toronto this Saturday the 18th.
The ’1D World’ store opens at 680 Yonge St., two blocks south of Bloor St. W., on Saturday and closes Sept. 2. It will sell exclusive and limited edition items such as posters, calendars and t-shirts.
The 1D store manager explained the reason behind the store location..
“The band performed in the city a few months ago, and after that concert it is clear that Toronto is home to thousands of loyal ‘Directioners’” said Reece.. “Therefore, the decision to host the North American debut of 1D World in Toronto was an easy one. Toronto fans show great excitement and support for their favourite bands.”
Those arriving at the Toronto store on opening day will have the chance to win free tickets to the boy band’s concerts in Toronto on July 9 and 10, 2013, along with other prizes. The store will operate from 9am till 6pm.
The only other locations for 1D stores so far have been in Sydney and Perth, Australia. “Excited fans lined up around the block waiting for the 1D World doors to open,” said Derek Glover, managing director of the merchandising group responsible for the Australian launch, in a press release.
