ONE DIRECTION MAKE HISTORY IN THE US
One Direction’s new DVD ‘Up All Night’ has outsold the number one album this week in the US.
The DVD sold around 76,000 copies in the US on its first week of release beating sales of John Mayer’s number one album.
This marks the first time in history in the US that a number-one DVD has outsold a number-one album.
After just a week of sales, “Up All Night: The Live Tour” is already the number-three music DVD of 2012. It trails Adele’s “Live At The Royal Albert Hall” (426,000) and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “The Phantom Of The Opera At The Royal Albert Hall” (77,000).
