Niall Horan wants One Direction to split? Plus Union J blast 1D comparisons
UNION J BLAST 1D COMPARISONS WHILST 1D WANT TO SPLIT?
Union J sat down with Heat magazine last week and the inevitable subject of One Direction was brought up, Union J were quick to downplay the comparison with Jamie ‘JJ’ Hamblett stating..”Um, we’re a four-piece, theyr’e a five… No we do different music. We’re just different.”
Josh Cuthbert added: “They’re very young-poppy. We’re a bit like Maroon 5.”
Of the suggestion that they could surpass One Direction, Cuthbert added: “I’m not sure it’s possible to be any bigger than One Direction, but that would be amazing – that would be the dream.”
One Direction’s Harry Styles has spoken out about both bands on the UK X Factor calling Union J and District3 are “really great and talented” acts.
Meanwhile Niall Horan from One Direction has been talking about emulating Take That and their success in the UK..
“We want to be like Take That or Gary Barlow – take 10 years out, and then come back,” Niall Horan told The Mirror. He also said of new single ‘Little Things‘ that it was a ‘cracking tune’ and that the whole band wanted it as soon as they heard it.
‘Little Things’ by One Direction will be released on November 12, the same date as the band’s new album Take Me Home.
