New Song – UK girl group ‘Parade’ return to the pop scene with ‘Light Me Up’!
PARADE RETURN WITH ‘LIGHT ME UP’
I have a soft spot for the girl-band ‘Parade’ they had an amazing debut single called ‘Louder’ which was an insanely good piece of pop music.
After that initial success (it was a top ten single) things started to go a little wry for the girls, second single ‘Perfume’ just wasn’t a good enough follow up to ‘Louder’ and it subsequently charted at number 38 on the charts. Their album then followed and reached number 171 on the UK charts – ouch. It was like they have peaked too early and ‘Louder’ whilst an amazing track didn’t allow them to embed into the pop scene or perhaps get their branding and personalities out into the world. Then came some corporate deals which again I felt were all accepted too early in their career and I thought it was over for them as a group.
However, the girls are back and luckily they have an amazing ‘come back’ song ready go. Written by Tim Powell [Girls Aloud, Sugababes] ‘Light Me Up’ is a more dance orientated track. The girls supported The Wanted on their last tour and the song is like a female version of a Wanted song. There is also a light dub-step feel to the track but with clear and concise pop lyrics over the beat.
In short it is a very good song.
We can only share a snippet with you at the moment but the full track will be coming soon!
