Jedward give ‘watered down performance’ ahead of Eurovison Semi-Final
Jedward took to the stage for the first time in Baku this week
They were watched by the other contestants from their semi-final round which takes place next week.
Performing last on the show, the Irish twins were watched by performers from Israel, San Marino, Cyprus, Denmark, Russia, Hungary, Austria and Moldova.
“I guess they all stayed around to see what we were going to do. It meant we had the biggest crowd watching our rehearsal but it didn’t bother us,” said Edward Grimes.
A Jedward spokesman revealed that what rival performers witnessed last night was far from the finished Irish entry.
“Let’s put it this way. The tap was only half on,” said the spokesman, in reference to a water effect used sparingly during the twins’ performance of ‘Waterline’.
Today they are planning a day off and a tour of local sights before rehearsals on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Ireland perform last in the first semi-final on May 22 in the hope of making the final on May 26.
C’MON THE JEDWARD!
