The The Arqiva Commercial Radio Awards aims to celebrate the success of the radio industry in the UK.
The awards are now in their 17th year and last night Mark Owen from Take That appeared to accept an award on behalf of the band. The award was called ‘Commensurably Radio Top 40.’
Take That were the first legends to be inducted, with Mark Owen accepting the inaugural award on behalf of the band. Take That One are one of the most successful boy bands the UK has ever produced. They were formed in 1990 and went on to have 11 number one singles and 7 number one albums. Their first album was released in 1991 and spawned 4 smash hit singles all of which entered the top 10. Internationally they have had 54 number one hits and 35 number one albums.
